Hogwarts Express

To coincide with the arrival of the penultimate Harry Potter film, here is the famous train photographed in the National Railway Museum in York. No sign of Harry or Hermione, however, but there was a steady stream of youngsters entering and leaving the driver's cab to have their pictures taken. Hogsmeade station itself is located at Goathland, which Heartbeat fans will know as Aidensfield, near Whitby.

  1. Oooh, the Hogwarts Express! I'd like to hitch a ride on that to the movie theatre.

  2. I once had the surreal experience of standing (alone) on Saltaire station at night when this train came through unannounced. I felt like I'd been transported back to Victorian times and would not have been surprised to find myself suddenly in costume. It was so bizarre.

  3. I guess I should try to read one of the books or watch one of the movies.
